BaRISEtas
BaRISEta’s are the heart of who we are at RISE coffee & tea! It is our desire to see those with special needs have a place to belong, to be known and to serve others. The term, "BaRISEta" comes from Barista- a coffeehouse employee who prepares and serves espresso-based coffee drinks and other beverages. At RISE, we know our employees are special, so we call them BaRISEtas!
At RISE, we believe there is no ‘only.’ Our BaRISEtas don’t ‘only’ do specific roles. We like to open our doors to opportunities for ‘everything.’ We cross-train our BaRISEtas to apply themselves across different areas of the business so they can find growth opportunities and sweet spots. All are continuing to develop them physically, mentally, and emotionally.

The Muse of RISE
Bekah DeWard, BaRISEta
Bekah is one of Nicole DeWard’s children and the Muse of RISE!
Bekah is the original baRISEta at RISE. She is incredibly sweet and loves to laugh. Bekah loves Disney Princesses, Mermaids and dancing! She is great at coloring and helps decorate our
to-go bags.

Meridith Miller, BaRISEta
Meridith was interested in working at RISE because she has had a lot of experience with coffee, since she enjoys drinking it with her mom after workouts.
She is great at customer service and extremely personable. Meridith makes sure to always greet customers with a bright smile when they come in! She loves to bake and is an excellent latte artist.

Rachel Bramlett, BaRISEta
Rachel is a hard worker and loves to do tasks like weighing coffee beans. She is meticulous to detail, and enjoys doing things that need to be done to prepare for the opening of the coffee shop each day she works. Rachel gives the best hugs and loves to sing and dance at work, especially to Disney songs! She also loves to bake and check people out at the register.

Collin Guth, BaRISEta
Collin is so kind and has the best attitude! His cheerful personality will put a smile on your face. He works well with others and loves to give high fives while he works! He enjoys taking orders at the drive thru and counting how many customers he has served that day.

Darby Taylor, BaRISEta
Darby is so sweet and very social! Her amazing personality makes her great at customer service and welcoming customers. Darby is great at taking orders, making drinks and making sure RISE stays clean and tidy. She enjoys good music, dancing and Disney!

Ryan Smith, BaRISEta
Ryan is super helpful in the store and will do any task asked of him! He's also a rockstar sign spinner that you may see when driving into RISE. He loves listening to 80s music in the shop, and sometimes you'll get to see him dance around while completing his tasks.

Carolyn Prunkl, BaRISEta
Carolyn is good at making customers feel welcome, working the register and helping bake! Carolyn is so kind and has the best attitude. Carolyn loves reading, mermaids and singing. She also works as a preschool assistant teacher during the week.

Brian Corner, BaRISEta
Brian is incredibly funny and has an outstanding memory. Brian is great at customer service, taking customer orders, and making drinks. Brian loves pop culture, discussing current events, and talking about his favorite television shows.

Brian is Mr. Pop Culture, he would love to talk about the newest shows on TV, especially Grey's Anatomy or Nancy Drew.

Jessica Archer, BaRISEta
Jessica loves helping children and would love to be a preschool teacher one day. Her sweet heart makes her wonderful at customer service. Jessica is really good at taking orders and she LOVES to bake! You will often see her making Peanut Butter Brownies or helping April with meal prep.

Nolin Rodriguez, BaRISEta
Nolin is one of our BaRISEtas and loves music! He's been in many musicals and even tickles the keys sometimes when he's in RISE. He loves people and is excited for everyone to try the food and drinks at RISE!

Mary Claire Greig, BaRISEta
Mary Claire loves to bake as well as take orders at the register! Mary Claire is so sweet and loves to constantly improve and learn. Mary Claire loves history, more specifically, the Royal family and British history! She loves children and is a very proud aunt.

Samuel Yesudasan, BaRISEta
Samuel is really good at keeping RISE clean by cleaning the tables and taking trash out. He is great at working with others and is so encouraging with his kind words. Samuel is very sweet and loves giving high fives. Samuel really enjoys Atlanta sports and playing the clarinet.

Alex Donato, BaRISEta
Alex is good at cleaning the bathrooms at RISE, folding towels, and wiping the tables and chairs. She helps RISE stay clean and inviting. She is so sweet and is such a hard worker! Alex loves music, running, dancing, and playing tennis.

Parker is always willing to learn something new and loves to say, “My pleasure!” He enjoys taking orders and helping at whatever task is needed, especially helping his fellow baRISEtas. He is so sweet, polite and has a great work ethic!

Zach Willis, BaRISEta
Zach is so sweet and loves meeting new people. He will definitely put a smile on your face! Zach is good at working the register and making sure RISE is clean by sweeping.
When not at RISE, he enjoys being on the percussion team with the Marietta High School marching band! He also enjoys being in the Air Force ROTC program at his school.

Logan Setzer, BaRISEta
Logan is one of our newest baRISEtas and loves to help at RISE during his day at bloom work & play. Logan is great at assisting with taking orders and restocking our display case with gluten free treats.
When not at RISE, he enjoys reading, playing with Legos and watching Star Wars.
